If your home is listed on the MLS (multiple listing service), the public has access to your listing on the internet at  www.mls.ca.  Real Estate Agents, on the other hand, do not usually go the the public MLS site.  They will access listings that are listed on their own Board (eg. Toronto Real Estate Board)  If your home  is not listed on their Board, it cannot always be found by local agents.  The answer to this would be to have your Listing appear on several Boards, in the areas you wish to target.  Being a member of the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB), Mississauga Real Estate Board (MREB), and the Realtor's Association of Hamilton & Burlington (RAHB), you could have maximum exposure for your Listing.  For instance, if you're selling a home in Burlington, you will want your Listing to appear on the Hamilton/Burlington Board for local agents to see, but also on the Toronto Board, because many people from the City are moving westwards towards Oakville & Burlington to escape the traffic, rise in crime, high house prices, & higher property taxes.

Your Listing will not only appear on the "MLS", but it will be on the Sutton Company Website (www.sutton.com), my personal website (www.nicolewerkman.com), plus it automatically will be linked to another 2000 agent's websites across Canada that are a part of our program.  Your listing will also be found on a special website that belongs to our office called(www.4MississaugaHomes.com)
