In October I had the opportunity to partake in a Faithworks Mission trip to a Mexican Orphanage in Aguascalientes. Our team was there to help in the construction of the new orphanage. The girls spent the week sealing & waterproofing the concrete roof & painting, while the guys did trenching for drainage pipes & concrete work.
The evenings were spent playing & singing with the children at the existing orphanage. We also did a couple of outreach programs in some poor communities.
Although I had been to Mexico several times before, this was an eye-opening experience. The children were poor, & yet so rich in God's love. The testimonials we shared were incredible & the experience was something I will never forget. To see a write-up, go the the website www.crwrf.ca & click on "Faithworks".

I would like to share these photos of our trip:

November 2009-2nd Mission Trip to the Orphanage
I have decided to make this a yearly event, hoping to bring more people with me each year. The progress on the construction of the new orphanage is incredible. The children were able to move into the main building in February and the grand opening attracted the Governor of Aguascalientes, as well as the Canadian Ambassador to Mexico.
